Features

Everything an always-on terminal needs

Not a screen share. Not a remote desktop. Real terminals on your PC and your servers, mirrored live and end-to-end encrypted.

Reach it anywhere

One live session on every screen you own

Open a tab on your PC or a server and it is already on the web and on your phone.

Every terminal, everywhere

A tab you open in Vyre Desktop shows up on the web and on Android straight away, and stays there for as long as it is open.

Several viewers at once

Watch the same tab from your phone and your laptop together. Each viewer decrypts on its own, so Vyre never sits in the middle. On Plus and Pro.

Peek, or take over

Look at a tab without touching it, or take it over from the web or Android to type, then hand it back to your desktop.

Pop a tab out

On the web, open any tab in its own window and put it next to your editor or on a second screen.

Made to fit a phone

On a small screen the tab list slides out of the way, and a key row gives you Esc, Tab, Ctrl, Alt and the arrow keys.

Your servers, too

Install the headless host on Linux or as a Windows service with one command. Its tabs sit next to your PC’s, and it only connects out.

A real terminal

Not a screen share. A terminal.

Real shells on a real PTY, with the tools you expect from a modern terminal.

Every shell, on a real PTY

cmd, PowerShell, pwsh or any WSL distro on Windows through ConPTY, and bash, zsh or fish on a Linux server. True color, not a pipe shim.

Command blocks

Each command and its output becomes a block, a status line shows the folder and git branch, and you can jump from prompt to prompt.

Clickable links

Ctrl/Cmd+click a URL in the output to open it, on the web and on the desktop. Only web links open, never scripts.

Find in the terminal

Search a tab’s output and scrollback, on the web and in the desktop app.

Paste images

Paste a screenshot straight into a running tab, which is handy for coding agents that read images.

Copy from remote programs

When a program in the tab copies text (OSC 52, as vim and tmux do), it lands on the clipboard of the device you are using.

Run many things at once

Built for a dozen tabs, not one

Start, find and drive many terminals across many machines.

Open a tab on any computer

Start a terminal on any of your online computers from the web or Android. Pick from the shells that machine has, a folder and an optional startup command.

Type into many tabs

Group tabs and send your input to all of them at once, on the web or on the desktop. One command, every server.

Saved commands, synced

Keep the commands you run often and fire them from the compose bar on any device.

Command palette

Ctrl/Cmd+K finds any tab, computer or action in a keystroke, on the desktop and on the web.

Pin, rename, reorder

Pin the tabs you live in to the top, rename one with F2, and drag tabs or move them with Alt+↑/↓.

Know each tab at a glance

The tab list shows what is running: Claude Code, Gemini CLI and other agents, Python, Node, Git, SSH, Docker, editors and more each get a tile.

AI agents

Let the agent work. Check in from anywhere.

Run a coding agent on your PC or a server, see which one is busy, get told when a long command finishes, and answer its question from your phone.

Know what’s happening

See what needs you, without opening it

Status, alerts and connection health for every tab you run.

Live status and exit codes

Every tab shows whether it is connecting, idle, busy or exited, and keeps the exit code when a process ends.

Alerts on every tier

Get alerted when a computer goes offline, a process exits, or a host key is used from a device or network we haven’t seen.

Hear when a long job ends

Switch on “Notify background activity” and a long command finishing, or a bell, in a tab you have open gets you a toast and a desktop notification.

Connection quality

A dot on each terminal shows the round trip to the relay, so you can tell a slow link from a stuck program. On the web and the desktop.

Keep what matters

Your output stays yours, and stays put

Scrollback that survives a dropped connection, and a copy you can take with you.

Export a session

Save a tab as plain text, as a standalone HTML page, or as an asciinema .cast recording you can replay. On the web and the desktop.

Back where you left off

Lose your connection or close the browser, and the scrollback is still there when you come back.

End-to-end encrypted, always

A fresh AES-256-GCM key per tab, wrapped with X25519 for each of your devices. Vyre relays and stores ciphertext only, even at rest.

Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone

In the web app and the desktop app, under Settings → Accessibility.

  • Screen reader mode

Exposes the terminal’s rows to your screen reader and announces new output.

  • High contrast, dark or light

Follows your system’s contrast setting, or switch it on yourself, with either theme.

  • Reduced motion

No pulsing dots, spinners or cursor blink. Follows your system, or set it yourself.

  • Keyboard all the way

Every control can be reached from the keyboard and has a name. Ctrl+Shift+/ lists every shortcut.

How it works

From a tab on your machine to a live stream in four steps

1

Open a tab

Open a terminal in Vyre Desktop like you always would, or on a server running the headless host. That tab is now a Vyre Tab.

2

Encrypted before it leaves

The host generates a per-tab key and wraps it for each of your devices before a single byte of output reaches the network.

3

View and control from anywhere

Open vyre.kaxlin.com or the Android app on any signed-in device. The tab decrypts locally and streams live: read, type, or just watch.

4

Pick up where you left off

Close the browser, lose your connection, restart your router. The session and its scrollback are still there when you come back.

Your next terminal is one tab away.

Install Vyre on your PC or a server, open a tab, and it’s already on the web. Free tier, no card needed.
